  • In private course, the student chooses the starting date and there is no level requirement. A placement interview in the first class will determine your language level and needs which will guide your course syllabus.
  • For group courses, the level required is A1 (CEFRL) or (ACTFL) and there are specific starting dates. Check here.

  • In private courses, you can study for a minimum of 1 week (15, 20 or 30 hours a week).
  • Group courses last 2 weeks (30 hours) and more weeks can be added if requested for at least 2 students.

Here at The Language Club you can set your schedule according to your needs.

It’s possible to take up to 6 hours of classes a day.

In private courses, The Language Club customizes its courses on a regular basis. So whatever are your needs we will design a course accordingly.

In case of groups, we have the Closed group and University group options, both designed according to the group needs and interests.

Definitely! We have already had University and NGO groups, Portuguese courses, cultural activities and accommodation can be organized.

All of our teachers are native speakers and have a bachelor or superior degree on the area. Our selection process is strict as we ensure all of our teacher are not only qualified but also have a vast experience teaching Portuguese to foreigners.

Homestay is a great option: it encourages language the practice of Portuguese as well as a cultural dive in the Brazilian lifestyle. Self-catering options are also available.

The sooner you register the better for us to organize and schedule your classes. We recommend students to enroll at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the course.

If you are abroad, you can make a wire transfer to our account or provide us with your credit card information in order to complete your enrollment.

TLC can provide you a certificate describing all of your achievements and amount of time studied. Please check with your University for the possibility to get credit for it.

You do not need any specific visa to study at TLC. If you need a student visa, please contact the nearest Brazilian consulate in order to receive more information about the requirements.
